Gretna Volunteer Fire Department will be raffling off a Honda 420 Rancher on October 4, 2008. Tickets Are $10.00 each. See any firefighter to purchase a ticket.  

The Gretna Volunteer Fire Department is located in the northern part of Pittsylvania County Virginia at the intersection of highway 40 and highway 29. With these two major highways the GVFD runs numerous vehicle accidents ranging from heavy to light vehicle rescue situations.

 With a growing active membership the GVFD covers over 100 square miles of first due area including some of Leesville Lake and 300 square miles of second due area. In these areas the GVFD protects multiple types of structures and special hazards ranging from single family dwellings to apartment complexes to a heavily traveled train rail system.
