| Structure Fire with fatality on Blue Ridge Dr. |

At 5:15 a.m. St. 22 and St. 31 were dispatched for a Structure Fire on Blue Ridge Dr. in Gretna. 2236 (G. Rader) arrived to find a single story home believed to be abandoned fully involved. 2236 checked with a neighbor and they stated that they there could possibly be someone inside the house. E-223 arrived and pulled a line and started an exterior attack on the structure. After the fire was put out overhaul and search for a victim began. Once the victim was found, all members stopped overhaul and waited for the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office to arrive. Once the deputies arrived a few more hot spots were hit and the scene was turned over to the Sheriff's Office. All St. 22 and St. 31 units returned to service around 12:30.
